A Pamphlet Of Hodja Suyûtî About Hidden Knowledge: el-Bâhir fî Hükmi’n-Nebî bi’l-Bâtın ve’z-Zâhir
Abstract
This study has long been talked in observable sciences such as commentary, canon law and tradition but moving from the tradition telling the meeting between Moses and Hizir, this treatise is a translation of “el-Bahir fî hükmi’n-Nebî bi’l-bâtın ve'z-zâhir” by Celâluddîn es-Suyûtî whose name hasn’t been emphasized in mystical terminoogy.
Hodja Suyuti emphasizes that ex- prophets had only one knowledge but on the other hand he expresses that our prophet (Muhammed ) had two kinds of knowledge and he tries to prove this on the basis of some opinions of some scholars that our prophet tried to make verdicts according to hidden knowledge too.
In the beginning of the study information has been given about Hodja Suyuti and the concept of the treatise.
