Abstract

A Discussion on 16th Century’s Dîwân Poets Coming from Khalwatiyyah Dervish ‎Order

Khalwatiyyah is a dervish order coming from Turkish origin, which had been going at blast ‎with its branches over forty in Anatolia mostly and in a large geographic section from India ‎to Balkans and from Yemen to Morocco. The highly multitudinous Sufi poet had grown ‎among its members. On the other hand, it appears that many diwan poets had been ‎members to any branches of mentioned dervish order, especially in 16th Century. The 16th ‎Century’s diwan poets are discussed in this article, from viewpoint of their memberships to ‎this dervish order. In this context are determined 33 diwan poets whose relations with ‎Khalwatiyya.‎
